American Society of Hematology

ASH is the world's premier hematology organization. The Society provides a wide array of programs and services to help hematologists conquer blood diseases worldwide.

Programs and Awards

Several ASH programs are specifically designed for hematologists working and residing outside of The United States, Canada, and Mexico. Additionally, many of the Society's other programs and awards are open to international participants.

Clinical Research Training Institute in Latin America

This award program is intended for early-to-mid-level hematology faculty working in Latin American countries who are engaged in clinical research and training, and who wish to become more familiar with clinical trial design and execution.

ASH Global Research Award

The ASH Global Research Award works to support future international scientific leaders, increase capacity, and nurture global collaboration amongst hematologist who are between the completion of training and the establishment of their independent careers.

International Post-Doctoral Fellows Program

This program provides international post-doctoral fellows access to valuable ASH resources at no charge for up to four years.

International Outreach Initiative

ASH distributes educational materials to help address hematology-related needs in developing countries.

International Consortium on Acute Leukemia

This initiative brings together clinical investigators from Europe, North America, and South America in the spirit of international clinical and laboratory collaboration.

Health Volunteers Overseas

ASH members provide targeted education and training to hematology personnel at healthcare institutions in the developing world.

Latin American Training Program

This program helps hematologists and hematology-related healthcare professionals build hematology capacity in Latin America around specific priority areas.

Translational Research Training in Hematology

This joint effort by the European Hematology Association (EHA) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH) provides junior researchers with a unique, year-long training and mentoring experience.

Visitor Training Program

Intended for talented hematologists, scientists, and laboratory staff from developing countries, this award program provides training on a specific hematology topic or technique for up to 12 weeks.
